Pallet Racking is the most popular type of racking in the world:

Pallet Racking offers a variety of storage solutions for any type of palletized or non-palletized load.

At Dreymar Industrial, our pallet racking is designed for Strength, Durability and Ease of Assembly.

Our pallet racking system is totally flexible and can be designed to meet precise or bespoke criteria without sacrificing cost-effectiveness.

Our adjustable pallet racking systems offer a large range of beam and upright sizes, with various optional accessories that can be configured to solve almost any storage challenge our clients may be facing - the list is virtually endless.

Pallet Racking allows you to increase profit and productivity by maximizing the available space within a given facility. By utilizing the maximum height available, costly floor space is reduced.

Our Pallet Racking is manufactured from high-quality steel and offers a sturdy and safe storage solution for most business environments. Racking should be fixed to the warehouse or yard floor when being loaded with any mechanical materials handling equipment (Forklifts, Stackers, etc.) It is strongly recommended that employees follow all necessary safety requirements to ensure the safe movement of the stock on the racking as well as ensuring racks are regularly checked for damage.

What is Pallet Racking?

Pallet racking is the most common form of racking.

It is a dynamic system that can be altered and reconfigured as your business and warehouse requirements change. Pallet Racking is simply a set of frames and beams that allow us to increase the storage capacity within a warehouse.

Each beam level with a pallet racking system can be adjusted vertically in increments of approximately 100mm. It is possible to combine this with a handpicking area at lower levels. Frames and beams are available in a wide range of different sizes.

When we need to optimize the available space and increase the storage capacity in a warehouse quickly and cost-effectively, pallet racking is almost always the best solution in terms of price and usability.

Pallets are loaded directly onto the system using the appropriate handling and lifting equipment.

The design of the pallet racking depends on:

  • The characteristics of the building
  • The type and size of pallets and load to be stored
  • The lift trucks and forklifts that will be utilized with the racking system

Pallet Racking is widely available in the market and can be easily sourced and installed.

Simple, Versatile, Effective: Pallet racking is the most popular type of racking system. It can be configured to suit any kind of space, stock, and pallet size.

When most of us think and talk about industrial racking, what we normally have in mind is Conventional Pallet Racking, which is also known as APR (Adjustable Pallet Racking).

What are the Benefits of Pallet Racking?

Pallet Racking allows the direct access to all pallet positions at any given time and can be used with standard forklift trucks in a wide range of environments.

  • Space-Saving
  • Cost-Effective
  • Reduces Damage to Stock
  • Supports Regular Stock-Rotation
  • Addition and Expansion are Easy
  • Easily Assembled and Disassembled
  • Improves Order Fulfillment Efficiency
  • Allows Access to All Pallets/Stock Locations
  • Adaptable to any type of Stock, Pallet Size or Space

Adjustable Pallet Racking is the most common type of racking system because it enables direct access to all stored pallets or cartons without the need to move others. This makes it a highly selective solution.

Adaptable:

Can be used for any size load or forklift truck.

Dynamic:

Racking can be designed around your requirements, subject to any weight and height restrictions.

Accessible:

All stock is readily available using a forklift truck.

Ease of Loading:

Forklifts can easily access the pallets, and this increases the throughput

What are the disadvantages of Pallet Racking?

The high selectivity of a standard pallet rack system require numerous aisles, making it a lower density option compared to other racking systems.

  • Height restrictions – the height of racking can be restricted by the reach of the forklift
  • Floor space utilisation can be low in wide aisle configuration when used with a counterbalance forklift as 3.5m – 4.0m aisles are required.

What are the standard sizes of Pallet Racking?

Our pallet racking is available in a wide range of different sizes:

  • Levels: 2, 3, 4, 5
  • Depth: 600mm, 750mm, 900mm, 1050mm, 1200mm
  • Load per level: 1000kg, 2000kg, 2500kg, 3000kg, 3500kg
  • Height: 1800mm, 2400mm, 3000mm, 3600mm, 4200mm, 4800mm, 6000mm
  • Length: 1800mm, 2100mm, 2400mm, 2700mm, 3000mm, 3300mm, 3600mm

What is Pallet Racking manufactured from?

Pallet Racking is manufactured from high quality steel roll formed profiles.

The vertical open profiles perforated on its front along the height of the upright and are assembled in pairs.

These pairs of uprights create what is known as a “frame"

The loading beams are installed onto these frames and act as the support level for pallets.

Racking frames transmit the weight load onto the floor slab through specially designed base feet.

Our pallet racking is proudly manufactured in South Africa in an SABS-ISO 9001:2015 certified facility.

What is the general layout of Pallet Racking?

A conventional pallet racking warehouse layout is generally:

  • Single rows of pallet racking along the perimeter of the building.
  • Back-to-Back rows of pallet racking in the middle of the building.

There is no limit to the length of rows which we can create, below are a few examples to give you some ideas for your warehouse:
